Our FSQ show host Chuck Da Fonk happens to be a Leo astrologically speaking, and in tribute to himself and other Leos, he digs up all the funk songs related to explaining and exploring this most funky Zodiac sign.
Garry Shider, a super instrumental musician key to the success of Parliament-Funkadelic (P-Funk), and an underrated architect of modern music, also happens to be a Leo. We celebrate Garry aka Starchild in the second hour of the program via rare P-Funk selections and hand picked from Chuck’s incredible bootleg funk collection.

What Time Is It? Dr. Funkenstein's Birthday!

This episode, Chuck Da Fonk ran out of preparation time just before the FSQ show started. But when he hit the radio studio, he remembered at the last minute that it was George Clinton aka Dr. Funkenstein’s 79th birthday.
So, the party calls for P-Funk and Chuck delivers with a deep tribute to Clinton featuring music from his solo releases, and his work on his projects like Parliament and Fred Wesley and The Horny Horns. Plus, hear Clinton’s rare collaborations with Chuck and FSQ.
The rest of the episode keeps pace with the clock by expressing itself through songs about “time”. The FSQ New Music Ferry ships in with sultry new tunes by Hess Is More, Luxxury and Poolside.

In the second hour, we celebrate the amazing soul legacy of Sandra Feva (RIP). Premiere: DJ Rocca turns in a fantastic Italo Disco remix of FSQ’s new single “11:00AM”.

Paul “Bear” Vasquez (RIP) aka “Double Rainbow Guy” opens up our July 1st FSQ show, sharing his ecstatic reaction to the sight of a double rainbow at Yosemite National Park. Vasquez repeatedly exclaims “oh my god” over Gigamesh’s dramatic and bright beat titled “It’s So Intense”, and indeed intensity is the theme of today’s FSQ episode. Chuck Da Fonk discusses what it’s like to release new music during tough times, as he prepares to debut his fresh collaboration with legendary chanteuse Fonda Rae, called “11:00 AM”.
